Coventry Swim Meet 21st September Results

On Saturday 21st September, six girls and three boys entered the Coventry 50 Metre sprint meet. Eleanor Mordue and Alfie Adhemar had four PBs, with Alfie taking third in the fly. Hannah Wright set two PBs, while Amy Jones, Hollie Butler, Conor Dines and Edward Thompson set two PBs, with Edward coming second in the breaststroke and Zoe coming third in the fly and setting a PB.

Zoe and Alfie both made the finals in their age groups and had to swim in a 200 Metre IM. Zoe came eighth, and Alfie can in fifth.

Banbury Swimming Club AGM 2013

We are holding our Club Annual General Meeting on September 3rd 7.30 to 9 pm at Spiceball Leisure Centre
It would be great to see you there, we know that there are lots of parents who could help us to run the club & improve it.
The club committee are always pleased to welcome new colleagues and happy to change roles to help new volunteers join us. If you would like to help the club out in some way here are some of the things you could help us with:

WORKFORCE CO-ORDINATOR: Talking to new parents and getting them involved in the club, helping volunteers find out about courses or training opportunities, helping organise people to support galas and social events.

SWIM 21 CO-ORDINATOR: To co-ordinate the implementation/development of the Swim 21 initiative within the club. Keep club information and policies up to date and keep the Swim 21 online system up to date for accreditation.

CLUB CHAIRPERSON: Chairing club meetings supporting the coordination of all club activities oversee decisions made by the management and sub committees. Oversee the work of coaches, teachers, officers and other club personnel.

CLUB WELFARE OFFICER: Be a face the swimmers recognise and feel happy to talk to. Keep the online CRB check system up to date. To be responsible for the implementation of good practice and child protection policies within the club.

CLUB TREASURER: Be responsible for all club finances. Monitor the budget throughout the year
Issue receipts and keep records of all monies received. Ensure that funds are used appropriately. Keep up to date records of all transactions

MEMBERSHIP SECRETARY: Work with the club treasurer to keep the club on-line membership data base up to date.

CLUB SECRETARY: Minute club committee meetings, link to pool providers to make sure the club has copies of all pool policies etc. Act as the main point of contact for your club for the county, regional and national ASA, deal with all club correspondence.

SCHOOLS LIAISON/PARTNERSHIP OFFICER: Be a point of contact for North Oxfordshire Schools Partnership and Cherwell Vale District Council for joint working/activities.

DISABILITY LIAISON OFFICER: Be a point of contact between the club and local disability groups. Make sure the club supports local initiatives.

COACH/TEACHER: You will need the following qualifications:
• ASA Teachers Certificate / Level 2 Teaching Aquatics Certificate
• Child Protection/Safeguarding training
Deliver teaching sessions according to the Banbury Swimming Club Plans, delivering to the National Teaching Plan. Work in accordance with the clubs Equity, Child Protection and Codes of Conduct.

POOLSIDE HELPER: Support teachers/coaches on delivering training sessions; support the Banbury Swim team at galas.
NB. We can fund training for helpers to become swimming teachers or coaches.

Entry forms will NOT be accepted without an entry time. These should be in your swimmer record books, but they can also be found here. Please get your entries with any fees back to your coach as soon as you can.
